my.t Universe

The audio of the main or selected channel will be received.  As you shift among the 4 TV channels, the audio will change accordingly.
By subscribing to a TV pack/ VoD on the my.t 4K Smart box or through my.t TV app on smartphone/ tablet, you will be able to enjoy the TV programme instantly.  You will also be charged for the premium TV pack or VoD to which you subscribed either on the my.t 4K Smart box or your smartphone/ tablet via the my.t TV app.
There is a penalty fee applicable for cancelling the TV packs subscribed to via my.t 4K Smart Box.
You need a 4K TV as well as 4K content such as 4K videos on YouTube and 4K TV channels to experience 4K experience.
Press the ‘my.t’ button on the remote control and scroll to ‘My Account’. Select ‘Profile’ and choose the ‘ADMIN’ profile whose password you would like to change. Go to ‘Change Password’ and enter your existing password (default is 1234) and insert your new password and save.

Google Universe

You can skip the configuration of the Google account/ Gmail during the setup of the my.t 4K Smart Box. However, to be able to use the features of the Google world, you will have to configure your Google account/ Gmail.
Press the Google Home button and go to ‘Settings’. Scroll down to ‘Add Account’ and select to type in your Gmail.
The recommendations on Google Home page is based on the content/ videos you have viewed and MT is not responsible or has the capability to stop the recommendations displayed from Google.
You can download apps from Google Playstore.
Press the Google Assistant button on the remote control & speak near the remote control to use the voice search feature. The Google Assistant feature currently only works in the Google world. To be able to use it, you will be required to configure your Google account/Gmail on the my.t 4K Smart Box in case you did not do it.
The Google Assistant feature works with the Google interface (apps) only for the time being. Stay tuned for more updates.
You don’t need to configure Wi-Fi to access the apps as the Internet is already configured in your RJ45 (Ethernet cable). Hence, ensuring you have an amazing experience with the apps.
Using apps on the Google Home page (or Google world) will use up your volume allowance. Please see our Broadband & TV offers on www.myt.mu if you wish to upgrade.

my.t TV app (on mobile phones / tablets)

The my.t TV app is available to all my.t customers and can be used in Mauritius only. To activate the service, call us on 8905 or visit us in one of our Telecom shops, so as our agents can register your request and do the needful. You will then be required to download the my.t TV app from PlayStore and log in using your login and password which will be sent to you via SMS once activated.
You can get an access to a maximum of up to 50 TV channels, depending on your subscription.
Subscription of TV packs/ VoDs is not possible on iPhones. If you would like to view TV channels that are found in a TV pack or watch a particular VoD, please subscribe to it on your my.t 4K Smart box first and you will be able to enjoy it automatically on your iPhone, once subscribed. On Android smartphones, you will be able to subscribe to premium TV channels or rent VoDs.

You will receive your Login ID and Password by SMS once my.t TV app registration is completed.  In case, you did not get your Login ID and Password by SMS, call us on 8905 and we would be glad to help you.

You need to be subscribed to my.t TV services to be able to view my.t TV content on your smartphone/ tablet. You also need to activate the my.t TV app first, by calling on 8905 or visiting us in one of our Telecom shops. You will then receive your Login ID and Password by SMS once activation of my.t TV app is completed.

Getting the new 4K Smart Box

Being an existing my.t customer requesting for dual room service, you will obtain two 4K smart boxes and you will have to return your existing set top boxes along with the remote controls & power cables.

Visit us in one of our Telecom shops with your existing TV decoder, Power cable, NIC of owner of fixed line, Remote control.  If you are not the owner of fixed line, you need to bring along an authorisation letter from the owner of fixed line and NIC.  Our shop agent will then proceed with the swapping to your my.t 4K Smart Box and you will have to choose the offer which best suits your needs.  The my.t 4K Smart Box will allow you to have access to both my.t universe and Google world.

Yes, you will have to use same Ethernet cable for connection. Connect the Ethernet cable to the my.t 4K Smart Box and the other end of the Ethernet cable should be connected to the LAN 2 on the Wi-Fi router, if you disconnected it as well. If you have dual room services, the 2nd Ethernet cable connected to the 2nd my.t 4K Smart Box should be connected to LAN 3 on the Wi-Fi router for dual room services.
The my.t 4K Smart box has been designed to enable you to have a fantastic viewing experience with 4K content. Hence, the my.t 4K Smart Box is not compatible with CRT TV.
The Ethernet cable should be connected to the my.t 4K Smart Box and the other end of the Ethernet cable should be connected to the LAN 2 on the router/modem. If you have dual room services, the 2nd Ethernet cable connected to the 2nd my.t 4K Smart Box should be connected to LAN 3 on the router/modem for dual room services.
No, you cannot have one my.t 4K Smart Box and a 2nd existing old STB at your place. You need to migrate both decoders to be able to view my.t TV channels.

Yes, you can proceed with the migration to my.t 4K Smart Box in one of our Telecom shops.  Please bring along your NIC, existing TV decoder, power cable and remote control.
